Dietary marks on your menu

1 min readUpdated Sep 23, 2026

In short

Marks put V, VG, GF or DF after a dish, and spell out allergens like nuts or shellfish, with a key in each guest’s language. You add every mark.

Dietary marks put short codes after a dish, V, VG, GF and DF, with a key under the menu in each guest’s language. Allergens and faith marks are spelled out: contains nuts, shellfish or fish, halal, kosher, and under “More”, egg, sesame or soy.

You own every mark. A word like salmon or pistachio suggests one, dashed: tap it to add it. The menu never marks a dish for you.

Screen readers read the full words, never the codes.

The marks help the kitchen too: “Check these meals” on Print compares them with what each guest told you. Always confirm with the kitchen.
